MICRODERMABRASION FACIAL FAQS

  • What is the average downtime after treatment? 1-2 days of mild to moderate redness. Similar to a day out in the sun. You should stay out of the sun for 24 hrs and if you do go out in the sun apply a good lotion with an SPF of 30.

  • Can I do Microdermabrasion if I am on an acne regimen like "Accutane"? No, microdermabrasion should not be done if you are actively treating heavy acne. Please check with your Dermatologist before starting any advanced facial treatments.

  • Is microdermabrasion painful? No, clients have told us there is a "sandpaper" against the skin type feeling. Others have told us that it's like a cat's tongue on your skin.

  • Is there any downtime to microdermabrasion? 1-2 days of minor to moderate redness, very similar to a day out in the sun.

  • How often can you do microdermabrasion? Microdermabrasion can safely be done weekly.

MICRO-NEEDLING FACIAL FAQS

  • Do you use a roller or pen for microneedling treatment? All microneedling treatments are performed with an electric microneedling pen with 36 microneedles.

  • Is microneedling painful? We apply a numbing cream and allow it to sit for 15-20 minutes. You may feel some sensation in areas like the forehead.

  • Is there any downtime to microneedling? 1-2 days of minor to moderate redness, very similar to a day out in the sun. You should stay out of the sun for 24 hrs and if you do go out in the sun apply a good lotion with an SPF of 30.

  • How often can you do microneedling? Since we only to the depths of 0.5 mm you safely do treatments every two weeks.

  • How often do you recommend microneedling treatments? This will be dependant on your current skin condition and your treatment goals. Nurse Darlene will do a full assessment with you and plan out the best regimen. 

  • Can I do Microneedling if I am on an acne regimen like "Accutane"? No, microneedling should not be done if you are actively treating heavy acne. Please check with your Dermatologist before starting any advanced facial treatments.

DERMABLADING EXFOLIATION FAQS

  • Is dermablading painful? No, dermablading is not painful. You will feel a scraping sensation on the skin. Other treatments like lasering, waxing and threading are way more painful. 

  • Is there any downtime to dermablading? No. You should stay out of the sun for 24 hrs and if you do go out in the sun apply a good lotion with an SPF of 30.

  • How often can you do dermablading? This will be based on the current growth rate of facial hair and your treatment goals. Nurse Darlene will discuss options with you during your initial skin assessment.
